The travel partners the hotel uses for all our excursions (Ninh Binh/Tam Coc river, Sapa and Halong bay were so amazing) and transfers from/to the airport were top notch. That said, I would have still given it a 9 as our room was clean & comfy with a city view, a rarity in old quarters. The bathroom was equally clean. The property is perfect for a walk to the Hanoi night market & Hoan Kiem lake. The staff were courteous, helpful & spoke English. There are some good Vietnamese restaurants nearby.

All of the staff are so helpful and helped set up a SIM card with 4GB each day for 30 days which was very affordable. Lily booked a Ha Giang loop tour and Ha Long Bay tour both of which were great and at a competitive price. Breakfast always had good choice and the restaurant has a lovely view over Hanoi.
