Great cabin, lovely decor, very well equipped, so warm and cosy. Very remote, which suited us perfectly. Lots of wildlife to watch from the cabin and a short stroll to the lake. Would definitely recommend

A little heaven on earth. The cottage is very cosy and confortable. The little river just outside in the garden make the surroundings so peaceful. It is the perfect place to watch the northern lights.

Amazing place with a spa really close ( Fontana) and the chance to do some trekking( even hiking) in the mountain in front to the hotel.

I loved this place. It was perfect location for different places to visit such as Geyster, Pingvilllar (National Park), etc. The accommodation was cosy and lovely. The owners were friendly, helpful and thoughtful; always informed me and my friends about the weather and issues with the hire car. We loved the scenery of the lake especially visiting the hot geothermal bath nearly every night. the last night before we returned to the city, we saw Northern Lights! that was the highlight of the short break. We would go back and stay there again. Loved it.

We chose it as a night stop between golden circle and Vik; village has thermal baths but we had already had thermal spa at blue lagoon, so we didn’t try these baths;
There are at least three places for dinner :)
The village is not worth for a longer stay or you can find a more attractive place ;)

Extremely quiet place.. not much to do.
Extremely quiet place.. not much to do. If you want a quiet place to recharge and do nothing, this is your place. We stayed 2 nights which is maybe too much for this little spot. Enjoyed onion ring burgers at Goodburger!

My guesthouse was comfortable and pleasant.
My guesthouse was comfortable and pleasant. I wished I had more time to enjoy the Fortuna. My hike at 10pm was delightful. I cannot recall ever smelling fresher air. The lupines, birches and pines were lovely. It was easy to get to all of the sites on the Golden Circle from there. Would gladly go back.
This cabin was our favorite out of the three places we stayed at during our time in Iceland. The owners were responsive and check in was a easy. The cabin was large and spacious with a fridge and microwave if you needed it plus a small sitting area. Well decorated and very clean. Getting to the property was easy and in a great location to everything in the area. 10 minutes to Fontana Baths
Nice to have breakfast provided in the morning with a cute little shop to peruse. Bedrooms/bathrooms were overall comfortable and clean. Location was awesome coming from Reykjavik and spending the day at Thingvellir National Park. Cute little town with an awesome hot spring, Laugarvatn Fontana, and delicious dinner food at the hostel down the street.
This cottage is in the golden circle area, very close to Fontana thermal spa. It’s out in a field amongst horses and farmland. We enjoyed two rooms, private bath, and a kitchen. The deck with pastoral views was lovely. What’s not to love?
WiFi connection was great.
We liked the beautiful views, being near nature and close to places we wanted to visit in the Golden Circle. It was very windy some days and it was really amazing to experience the powerful Icelandic winds and see the sky clear for the stars at night!
This is a unique experience to stay at this farmhotel run by a family. It was incredibly cozy and charming, dinner and breakfast were great, loved looking over the cows. The floors are heated which I love. The ice cream is amazing!!
The location is very close to Laugarvatn Fontana Spa (3 mins walking distance).
The room is very spacious and all the amenities were available.
The mudroom to ensure the cleanliness of the apartment.
Self check-in was very swift.
Very nice farm hotel. Had a small cabin with a very nice view. Heated floor kept us warm. The restaurant had good food and home made ice-cream (yummy!). While eating you are able to look into the barn and watch the farm's cows.
Great little cottage. It was close to a couple of restaurants and Fontana Baths. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfy. Nice quiet spot when travelling the Golden Circle.
Beautiful cottage with stunning view from the terrace. Also the surrounding area is worth it, especially Laugarvatn Fontana and Þingvellir. It would be nice to come back someday.
We were fortunate to be at the hostel in the shoulder season. The staff was very attentive and friendly. It was fun to take advantage of the Fontana thermal baths nearby.
lovely greetings by Me Hannah with great hospitality and fantastic Icelandic breakfast spread n most fabulous to see northern lights at Galleri Langarvstn
